Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to feel sorry
    • ex.: ilabjuktuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to feel sorry for s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: ilabjuktuq
  • with transitive ending*:
    • to feel sorry for him/her
    • ex.: ilabjugijara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • when used with transitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of transitivity gi4vv: ilabjugivanga
