Alternative form: ilitaaq

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to recognize s.o.
    • ex.: ilitaqsijuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to recognize s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: ilitaqsijuq
  • with transitive ending*:
    • to recognize him/her
    • ex.: ilitarijara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of intransitivity si3vv: ilitaqsijuq
  • when used with transitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of transitivity gi4vv: ilitarivanga
