Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to brush or rub lightly against s.t.
  • with transitive ending:
    • to brush or rub lightly against it
    • ex.: kaliktara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to brush or rub lightly against s.t. (-mik)
    • ex.: kaliksijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix si1vv: kaliksijuq
