kiggaq   ᑭᒡᒐᖅ

Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to convey a message for s.o.
  • with transitive ending:
    • to convey a message for him/her
    • ex.: kiggaqtara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to convey a message for s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: kiggaijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix i1vv: kiggaijuq
