Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to chase s.t. (caribou) by sled
    • ex.: magujjijuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to chase s.t. (-mik) (caribou) by sled
    • ex.: magujjijuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to chase it (caribou) by sled
    • ex.: magujjijara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
