Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to not share one's food with s.o.
  • with transitive ending:
    • to not share one's food with him/her
    • ex.: minittara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to not share one's food with s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: minitsijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix si1vv: minitsijuq
