Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to find s.t. (after searching for it) [P]to be found (after being searched for)
  • with transitive ending:
    • to find it (after searching for it)
    • ex.: nanijara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to find s.t. (-mik) (after searching for it)
    • ex.: nanisijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix si1vv: nanisijuq
