Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to gaze, to stare with awe or attention at s.t.
    • ex.: nanngaqtuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to gaze, to stare with awe or attention at s.t. (-mik)
    • ex.: nanngaqtuq
  • with transitive ending*:
    • to gaze, to stare with awe or attention at it
    • ex.: nanngarijara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • when used with transitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of transitivity gi4vv: nanngarivanga
