Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to put his hat to s.o.
  • with transitive ending:
    • to put his hat to him/her
    • ex.: nasaqtara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to put his hat to s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: nasaijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix i1vv: nasaijuq
