Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to skirt or detour
    • ex.: niguqtuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to skirt or detour around s.t. (-mik)
    • ex.: niguqtuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to skirt or detour around it
    • ex.: niguqtara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
