Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to wave s.o. away by moving arm up and down at one's side
    • ex.: nulluaqtuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to wave s.o. (-mik) away by moving arm up and down at one's side
    • ex.: nulluaqtuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to wave him/her away by moving arm up and down at one's side
    • ex.: nulluaqtara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
