Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to draw s.t. in towards oneself
    • ex.: pakiniktuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to draw s.t. (-mik) in towards oneself
    • ex.: pakiniktuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to draw it in towards oneself
    • ex.: pakiniktara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
