Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to gobble or swallow s.t. whole
    • ex.: pukuktuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to gobble or swallow s.t. (-mik) whole
    • ex.: pukuktuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to gobble or swallow it whole
    • ex.: pukuktara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
