Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to strengthen or support s.t. by binding or banding it
    • ex.: qirtutaqtuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to strengthen or support s.t. (-mik) by binding or banding it
    • ex.: qirtutaqtuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to strengthen or support it by binding or banding it
    • ex.: qirtutaqtara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
