- to strike him/her with the flat of the hand

- with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
- to strike s.o. (-mik) with the flat of the hand
- ex.: suarijuq
- with intransitive ending, no antipassive suffix, in the reflexive mode:
- to strike oneself with the flat of the hand
- ex.: suaqtuq
- with intransitive ending, no antipassive suffix, in the passive mode:
- to be struck with the flat of the hand

*Antipassive suffix
- when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix ri1vv: suarijuq
