Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to bite with anger - said of a quadruped
    • ex.: ugiaqtuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to bite at someone (-mik)
    • ex.: ugiaqtuq
  • with transitive ending:
    • to bite at someone with anger - said of a quadruped
    • ex.: ugiaqtara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • this verb root can also be used with transitive suffixes or verb endings without the need of a suffix of transitivity
