Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
[T]to raise one's spear to spear s.t. or thrust at s.t. [P]to be aimed at
  • with transitive ending:
    • to raise one's spear to spear it or thrust at s.t.
    • ex.: urliqtara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to raise one's spear to spear s.t. (-mik) or thrust at s.t.
    • ex.: urliqsijuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by one of the antipassive suffixes si1vv i1vv: urliqsijuq urliijuq
