Type: intransitive verb root

Meaning:
  • with intransitive ending and no object:
    • to hate s.o.
    • ex.: uumigusuktuq
  • with intransitive ending and object *:
    • to hate s.o. (-mik)
    • ex.: uumigusuktuq
  • with transitive ending*:
    • to hate him/her
    • ex.: uumigijara

*Transitivity suffixes

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of intransitivity gusuk1vv: uumigusuktuq
  • when used with transitive suffixes or verb endings, this verb root must be followed by the suffix of transitivity gi4vv: uumigivanga
