uviq   ᐅᕕᖅ

Type: transitive verb root

Meaning:
to /tip or /tilt or /slant s.t. to one side, on an angle
  • with transitive ending:
    • to tip or tilt or slant it to one side, on an angle
    • ex.: uviqtara
  • with intransitive ending, an antipassive suffix*, and an object:
    • to tip or tilt or slant s.t. (-mik) to one side, on an angle
    • ex.: uviqsijuq
  • with intransitive ending, no antipassive suffix, in the reflexive mode:
    • to tip or tilt or slant to one side, on an angle
    • ex.: uviqtuq
  • with intransitive ending, no antipassive suffix, in the passive mode:
    • to be tipped or be tilted or be slanted to one side, on an angle
    • ex.: uviqtuq

*Antipassive suffix

  • when used with intransitive suffixes or verb endings and an object, in order for the verb NOT to be interpreted passively or reflexively, this verb root must be followed by the antipassive suffix si1vv: uviqsijuq
